At Brilliant Read Media, it is our constant endeavour to identify and share some of the unique and compelling stories from the startup ecosystem. As part of this, we invited Sapna Sharma for an interview with Brilliant Read Media. To say further, Sapna is a Career Counsellor, Certified Dermatoglyphics Consultant and Founder of The Art Blend. Let’s learn more about her background, inspiring journey so far and her advice for our growing community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Sapna:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
I was a housewife for some time, but one day I experienced something that changed my perspective. At a family gathering, I wasn’t introduced—just dismissed as someone who ‘stays at home.’
That moment made me realise I wanted to build an identity that I could be proud of, one worth introducing. Since I had completed teacher training, I decided to restart my career as a teacher. I got a job, stepped back into the professional world, and began shaping my career again.
How did you discover your passion?
God’s plans are always greater than our own. Just as I restarted my teaching career, I met with an accident and was advised by doctors to rest for a year. But that pause became a turning point.
On my cousin’s suggestion, I joined theatre classes at SRC Mandi House. Soon, I discovered how theatre could transform education. I began working in ‘Theatre in Education,’ directed plays in Bal Rangmanch (Hindi Academy), and even served as a jury member in a Delhi state-level competition.
Along the way, I received five awards, gained recognition in newspapers and media, and experienced the joy of proving myself.
I also worked with children in NGOs, using theatre to inspire and empower them. Eventually, I became an entrepreneur and founded The Art Blend, combining creativity and education to make a difference. What started as a moment of being overlooked turned into a journey of recognition, purpose, and impact.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
My biggest source of motivation in life is myself. I don’t give credit to circumstances or others—I give credit to my own willpower, determination, and courage to stand by myself in every situation. Believing in myself has been my greatest strength.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
My journey has been shaped by three values: kindness, courage, and self-motivation. From being a housewife who once felt invisible, to becoming a teacher, then a theatre director, a jury member, an award-winner, and finally an entrepreneur—I have built every step with these values.
Kindness kept me grounded while working with children and NGOs. Courage helped me rise after setbacks, like my accident, and explore new paths such as theatre in education. And self-motivation has always been my biggest source of strength, pushing me to prove myself and create The Art Blend, where creativity meets purpose.
I stand today as living proof that when you believe in yourself, you don’t just find opportunities—you create them.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
For me, the key to success is simple: stay loyal to your work and keep improving yourself by removing negativity, step by step, each day.
What advice would you give to our readers?
If I can do it, anyone can do it. Please, believe in yourself and believe in God’s plan—sometimes that is the only way to success.
